YuvaLok provides free formal and non-formal education, vocational training, nutrition, healthcare to over 1500 children thereby creating an impact in the local communities and bringing about transformation.

YuvaLok runs eight schools and alleviates poverty through quality education and nutrition; and has invested in the lives of more than 8000 less privileged children and women. They bring about economic and social empowerment in a holistic way regardless of caste or religion giving children, and their families, dignity and hope.

This Christmas, we are fundraising to support the important and impactful work YuvaLok has been doing in education, flood relief and their response to COVID-19

Therefore, we are being ambitious and hoping to raise £5,000 at a time when the community is more vulnerable than ever

Your donations will go towards the ever expanding role that YuvaLok plays as a provider, and more recently – a responder – in the region:

“When our eight schools along with thousands of others, including colleges across the globe were ordered to lockdown, we wondered of the impact it would have on our students. The children enrolled in our schools would not have their nutritious breakfast and mid-day meal, which meant they would simply starve. Very soon we heard that even their parents had lost their livelihood, and they too were starving. Thousands of individuals and families did not have food. They did not have the means to take care of their house rent and medical expenses. It seemed like an impossible situation.

It is with your partnership that YuvaLok reached out to 8000 families with Food Grain Kits. We also helped in clearing house-rents, college fees and medical costs of over a hundred families. Over Rs.40,00,000/- (US$60,000/-; Euro54,000/-; GBP45,000/-) was spent on this endeavour to which you generously contributed. The recipients included migrants, daily wage earners, construction workers, housemaids, cab drivers, terminated employees of cafés, supermarkets, schools, among several others.”
